My dear followers, I'M BACK!! I know I've been gone for a couple of months and completely forgot about my roots and my dear blog. During the past months I've been busy adjusting my professional life, getting accustomed to working at a magazine like Harper's Bazaar incorporating the Bazaar speech and vision of femininity into my day-to-day outlook on life and fashion, but a certain someone advised me to not abandon my origins and to nourish and take care of the thing that made me a household name (a soft laugh is accepted).

Palermo Dead is not dead, I'm back, and more acid than ever.

Recently I've been thinking about the importance of blogs in the modern world, the importance of being a blogger in the 21st century, and I came to a conclusion: bloggers are today's spokespeople of post-modern information and the way that information that's available to everyone due to the internet is delivered and interpreted.

In Argentina I consider myself a blogger outside of the Argentine blogosphere, because I don't upload things people ask me to, quite on the contrary I just upload the things that interest me and after all that's the initial purpose of a blog: to put my voice out there and hope that someone is interested in what I have to say.

I am a blogger and proud of it; be it a fashion blogger, personal style blogger, political blogger, pop blogger, tropical blogger, latin blogger, sex blogger, I just blog my mind.

Here is my short ode to the bloggers that I admire most, the ones I read on a day to day basis and without whom my life would not be the same, thay are my personal influencers on what I do, think, wear.

Mis adorados seguidores, ¡REGRESÉ! He estado ausente por algunos meses y he olvidado por completo mis raices y mi amado blog. Durante los últimos meses he estado ocupado ajustando mi vida laboral, acostumbrandome a trabajar en una revista como Harper's Bazaar e incorporando el discurso y visión de la femeneidad de Bazaar a mi mirada diaria sobre la vida y moda, pero una persona especial me aconsejó que no abandone mis origines y que retome y cuide la cosa que me hizo estar en boca de todos (suaves risas son aceptadas).

Palermo Dead no está muerto, regresé más ácido que nunca.

Recientemente he estado pensando sobre la importancia del blog en el mundo moderno, la importancia de ser blogger en el siglo 21 y llegué a una conclusión: los bloggers son los voceros de la información postmoderna y la forma en que la misma es divulgada e interpretada dado que esa información está disponible a todos gracias al internet.

En Argentina me considero un blogger fuera de la blogoesfera argentina porque yo no subo cosas porque alguien me lo pide sino porque a mi me da la gana y me gusta, al fin y al cabo ese fue el proposito original de un blog: exponer mi voz y pensamientos y esperar que a alguien le interese lo que tengo que decir.

Soy un blogger y orgulloso de serlo, sea un blogger de moda, blogger de estilo personal, blogger político, blogger pop, blogger tropical, blogger latino, blogger sexual, blogueo lo que está en mi mente.

Aca va mi pequeña oda a los bloggeros que admiro por sobre todos, los que leo diariamente y sin quienes mi vida no sería la misma, son los que personalmente me han influenciado en lo que hago, pienso y uso.

Harper's Bazaar me! all night long! YES! The Argentine way.

The rumors are true, Harper's Bazaar that great American fashion institution with more than 140 years of trajectory, that had Erté's fabulous drawing on their covers, that saw the rise of Avedon and Man Ray, that had Diana Vreeland for the first time, that had Carmel Snow and now have Brana Wolf... IS COMING TO ARGENTINA!

All of you may know my deep devotion for Ana Torrejón, an eternally elegant earthly woman's woman filled with grace, knowledge, wisdom and last but not least FASHION! She has been my teacher, my mentor, and now my fashion fairy godmother. La Torrejón is going to be the editrix-in-chief of the magazine with Claudia Pasquini as the creative director, both from what used to be Elle Argentina.

Ana first told me about the news back in November of 2010 but she only mentioned "a project she was working on," and that she would like me to be part of the team, my mind went all-sorts-of-wild with images of what it could be. When she told me it was Harper's Bazaar in January of 2011 I literally fell of my bed, imagine Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding.

So now... (drum rolls please) ...I'm Junior Stylist at Harper's Bazaar Argentina! From here it's Paris or bust. I can divulge any news about the magazine, it's worse than a state secret; only that the first issue is coming out in May.

Down below I edited a small trip through 20th century Bazaar covers. Hope you like it.

Oh and something I learnt very early on if you want to shorten the title while speaking, it's BAZAAR and not Harper's.

Los rumores son verdaderos, Harper's Bazaar esa gran institución de la moda americana, con más de 140 años de trayectoria, que tuvo los geniales dibujos de Erté en sus tapas, que vió el ascenso de Avedon y Man Ray, que descubrió a Diana Vreeland y que tuvo a Carmel Snow y tiene a Brana Wolf... ¡VIENE A LA ARGENTINA!

Todos conocen mi profunda admiración por Ana Torrejón, una mujer entre mujeres eternamente elegante llena de gracia, conocimiento, sabiduría y más que nada MODA. Fué mi profesora, mi mentora y ahora mi hada madrina de la moda. La Torrejón va a ser la directora general de la revista con Claudia Pasquini como editora general, ambas de lo que antes era Elle Argentina.

Ana me contó en noviembre del 2010 sobre "un proyecto que estaba cocinandose" y que le gustaría que yo integre el equipo, mi mente despegó con locas ideas de lo que podría llegar a ser. En enero del 2011 me contó que el proyecto sería Harper's Bazaar Argentina, de tanto saltar sobre mi cama sin rumbo me caí, como Julia Roberts en My Best Friend's Wedding.

Entonces ahora... (tambores por favor) ...soy ¡Estilista Junior de Harper's Bazaar Argentina! De aca sólo viene Paris (por via de NYC quizás). Lamentablemente no puedo contar nada de la revista solo que la primera edición sale a los kioskos en mayo.

Ah, algo que aprendí muy temprano es que si estas hablando y quieres acortar el nombre de la revista, es mejor usar BAZAAR y no Harper's.

Galliano Gate

We all know the scandal that the Gibraltarian is involved in and I'm just as shocked as any of you by John Galliano's racist and anti-semitic word-vomit.

The last of this french drama is that Galliano released through his lawyers an apology for his damning words but didn't mention the video that gave him his mortal blow. Jonh Galliano's people are saying that the designer has left the French capital to go to a rehab center in Arizona, now the Paris prosecutors' office is planning to put the designer on trial following a police investigation since anti-semitic insults are illegal in France. If found guilty Galliano can face up to six months in jail and 31 thousand dollars in fines.

Many blame the fast pace of the modern fashion industry, forcing one of it's most cherished creative powerhouses into a drunken oblivion, driven by the pressure to present beautiful and amazing things six times a year or more. Donatella Versace and Marc Jacobs already went to rehab, Lee McQueen killed himself, and John Galliano has apparently committed professional suicide.

You may be inclined into forgiving Galliano for having have been under the influence, but there's a saying I learnt very early on DRUNKS DON'T EAT SHIT. The measures Dior and LVMH took against the designer are fair and just, you can't turn a blind eye on such statements even if they were said by John Galliano.

Todos ya sabemos el escándalo en el que está involucrado el gibralteño e igual que todos, yo también estoy anonadado por los comentarios antisemitas y racistas que vomitó John Galliano.

Lo último en esta novela francesa es que John Galliano divulgó por medio de sus abogados disculpas por los insultos discriminatorios pero no menciona el video que lo terminó de matar. Sus representantes dicen que Galliano abandonó Paris para ir a un centro de rehabilitación en Arizona, ahora la justicia francesa está dicidiendo si demandar al diseñador o no dado que los insultos antisemitas son ilegales en Francia. Si se lo encuentra culpable la condena puede llegar a ser de hasta seis meses tras rejas y 31mil dólares de multa.

Muchos culpan la velocidad vertiginosa de la industria de la moda actual, que obliga a uno de sus grandes genios a consumirse en el alcohol por la presión que siente de siempre hacer algo nuevo y asombroso seis veces al año o más. Donatella Versace y Marc Jacobs ya han estado en rehabilitación, Alexander McQueen se suicidó un año atras y Galliano acaba de darse su propio golpe mortal.

Pueden disculpar a John Galliano por haber estado bajo la influencia del alcohol, pero algo que aprendí muy temprano es que BORRACHO NO COME MIERDA. Las medidas que tomó la casa de Dior y LVMH son las justas y correctas, no se puede tapar el sol con un dedo y perdonar este tipo de comentarios sólo porque es John Galliano.

Does anyone remember someone called Mischa Barton? The starlet and fashion icon on The O.C.? Yeah, I thought so. During her O.C. run she was the most celebrated of young stars, admiring her fashion and grace but after she quit the show and died in that car crash that I still can't get over, she stopped getting media coverage.

Be careful Blake Lively, things can change in a heartbeat, just look at Galliano.

¿Quién carajo se crée Blake Lively? Hay un rumor dando vueltas que ella no va a asistir al show de Chanel porque "ella piensa que es de mal gusto que una celebridad como ella vaya al show".

Durante el programa ella era la más alabada de jovenes actrices, admiraban su estilo y gracia pero después que renunció al programa y murió en el choque que todavía no supero, ella paró de tener cobertura en los medios.

As in "Anastasia," Paris really does hold the key to my heart or at least to my dream wardrobe. There's something about Parisian menswear that really does it for me, I tried to do a "Top 10" of my favorite looks but I couldn't stop the list at 10, I want everything!

So I'm just going to give you my top looks from each show, and if there happens to be no look from a certain show then that's my polite way of giving it a rotund thumbs down.

Como en Anastasia, Paris realmente tiene la llave de mi corazón o aunque sea el de mi closet de ensueño. Hay algo de las colecciones masculinas parisinas que me vuelve loco, traté de hacer un "top 10" de mis looks preferidos pero no pude parar en sólo 10 ¡quiero todo!

I just saw the trailer for Garcia Bernal's new movie "Even the Rain," and I thought I should share it with you. The film deals with how things have not changed much for the indigenous population since the arrival of Columbus. I can't say much more since the trailer says it best.

Me and Guayaquil

So... as very December and January in the past four years, I leave my Argentinean comfort zone to venture into the Ecuadorian heat of Guayaquil. I only spent a few weeks over there because I can't forget my duties in Buenos Aires.

For my farewell party, I hosted a small party for my most intimates of friends in my hometown. I hadn't spent a night like that in Guayaquil for a long time: good vibes, good friends and good alcohol. I do have to give props to my sista' Didi, I had never seen her so fashionable before; finally my good taste is rubbing off on these people. LOL.

Here are a few pics of that wild night. For the record I was wearing a tank top by Felix with a DIY safety-pin neck (yes, I was inspired by Katelovesme), a Tramando linen pants, and made-to-measure gladiator sandals.

Como todos los diciembres y eneros en los últimos cuatro años, dejo mi querido Buenos Aires para aventurarme a los calores ecuatoriales de Guayaquil. Esta vez sólo me quedé unas semanas, ya que no puedo abandonar mis responsabilidades y a mi cordooobes por tanto tiempo.

Para mi despedida, hice una pequeña fiesta para mis más íntimos amigos. No había farreado una noche así en Guayaquil hace mucho tiempo: buenas vibras, buena gente y muy buen alcohol. Tengo que felicitar a mi ñaña (hermana) Didi por su look nunca la había visto tan a la moda, quizá porfin se están infectando de mi buén gusto. Jajajaja.

Aca están algunas de las fotos de la fiestita. Yo llevaba una musculosa Felix con el cuello hecho de imperdibles (y si, me inspiré en Katelovesme), un pantalón de lino Tramando y sandalias gladiadoras hechas a medida.

Isn't she amazing? She always manages to find the right answer for any question, and then people say fashion is frivolous.

Anna Wintour was recently invited to a state dinner at the White House in honor of the Chinese Premier, she was announced in along with her boyfriend and then came the usual question by a very brave woman "who are you wearing?" Anna answers "Chanel." Personally I would never have had the ability to not stutter in front of Anna Wintour, something I have to get over since I now she'll be my American mentor very soon.

After Anna answers "Chanel," then the reporter goes on to ask something else.

Fabulous! She wants to get the Chinese Premier to invest in Chinese designers! Well... that's why she controls current global fashion.

¿No es increible? Siempre encuentra la respuesta adecuada para cualquier pregunta y después dicen que la moda es frívola.

Anna Wintour fue invitada a la cena de estado en la Casa Blanca en honor al primer ministro chino, la anunciaron junto a su novio y le hicieron la obvia pregunta -¿Quién tienes puesto?- al cual ella respondió -Chanel-. Personalmente yo nunca hubiera podido preguntar nada, porque mi tartamudes hubiera reaccionado como alcoholico en licorería, creo que tengo que superar eso si es que ella va a ser mi mentora en Estados Unidos.

Después que ella responde -Chanel-, la misma reportera le hace otra pregunta:

Even though I don't share Mr. Ford's view on male fashions being that they are so conservative and antique, I do share his view on female beauty, female form, and of course female fashions.

Tom says he loves the 70's aesthetic, when women were more approachable, soft to the touch, and real; not necessarily the botoxed-fem-bots that walk around these days.

So even though I posted it up on Zarpado.com, I thought... Why not on my own blog? It is a major fashion event. So without further ado, I give to you Tom Ford Spring 2011.

Aunque yo no concuerdo con el punto de vista conservador y anticuado del Sr. Ford sobre la moda masculina, si comparto sus ideas sobre la belleza femenina, la forma femenina y obviamente la moda femenina.

Tom dice que ama la estética de los '70, cuando la mujer era más verdadera, suave de piel, con curvas naturales y no la femirobot repleta de botox que vemos ahora.

Ya se que subí este video en Zarpado.com, pero pensé... ¿Por qué no? Si es un mega-evento de la moda. Entonces les presento la colección Tom Ford Primavera-Verano 2011.

On Fridays my morning routine is having breakfast in bed which includes a glass of yogurt and a toast with jam on it around 7h30, because my trainer gets here at 8 o' clock. After getting tortured by Juan Pablo (my trainer) I got back to my apartment and had my daily dose of Twitter (if you don't follow me yet, it's @GabrielEstefano), only to discover that Carine Roitfeld the Dominatrix of fashion has stepped down from her post at French Vogue! Mme. Roitfeld made French Vogue into the beacon that it is today; first making the magazine completely French, giving it a makeover and infusing her gallant porno-chic style into the fashion spreads, articles, covers, etc.

Two of the women I admire most in this industry have resigned from their editor-in-chiefdoms this year, first Aliona Doletskaya in Russian Vogue and now Carine Roitfeld in French Vogue, what's next? Franca Sozzani stepping down from Italian Vogue? You'll notice I don't mention the fabulous Anna, because we all now the only way she'll ever give up her place in Vogue is by prying it from her dead hands.

Now the fashion world is-a-rockin' with two giant question marks over our heads: first, who'll take over the Editor-in-Chief seat at French Vogue? according to vogue.fr Carine will be living in "quelques semaines" if my French isn't that rusty, I think that means in a few weeks; second, what will Carine be doing after she departs from Vogue Paris? Now, if you're gay you may know about the blog Made in Brazil, it's basically a blog filled with hot Brazilian models and news about Brazilian fashion, their twitter is @blogmib if you want to follow them. Made in Brazil twitted that Carine left Vogue to assume the creative director post at Colcci a Brazilian brand, might this be true? who knows, only the future will tell. Brazil is an up-and-coming global fashion force.

So I can only say, a bientôt chère Carine; and I was planning on going to French Vogue's 100th anniversary party with Carine as hostess, I was even beginning to think about my outfit.

La rútina de mis viernes es desayunar en cama un vaso de yogur con una tostada y mermelada a las 7h30 porque a las 8 en punto llega Juan Pablo, mi trainer. Después que JP me torture subo a mi casa y entro a Twitter, es como leer el periodico todas las mañanas para mi (si no me siguen, haganlo en @GabrielEstefano). Mientras recibia mi dosis diaria de twits, descubrí que ¡Carine Roitfeld, la dominatrix de la moda ha resignado de su puesto en Vogue Paris! Mme. Roitfeld transformó a Vogue Paris en el faro que es hoy en día, primero le dió un tono completamente frances, después rediseñó la revista visualmente y le infundió su estilo elegantemente porno-chic a todas las producciones, articulos, tapas, etc.

Dos de las mujeres que más admiro en esta industria han dejado sus puestos de Directoras Generales este año, primero Aliona Doletskaya dejó Vogue Rusia y ahora Carine Roitfeld renuncia a Vogue Paris, ¿y ahora? ¿Franca Sozzani abandonando Vogue Italia? No menciono a la fabulosa Anna, porque todos sabemos que la única forma que ella dejará su puesto en Vogue es arrancandoselo de sus manos muertas.

Ahora el mundo de la moda está mareado con dos gigantes signos de interrogación por encima de nuestras cabezas: primero ¿quién va a asumir el puesto de Director/a General de Vogue Paris? Según vogue.fr Carine dejará su puesto en "quelques semaines" si mi francés no está muy flojo, creo que eso significa en unas pocas semanas; segundo ¿qué va a hacer Mme. Roitfeld-Restoin después que deje Vogue Paris? Ahora, si son gay quizas sabrán de la existencia del blog Made in Brazil, basicamente un blog con modelos brasileros calientes y noticias de la moda brasilera, su twitter es @blogmib si los desean seguir. Made in Brazil twiteo que Carine dejó Vogue para asumir el cargo de directora creativa de Colcci, una marca brasilera ¿será esto verdad? quien sabe sólo el futuro lo dirá, pero Brasil si es una próxima potencia en la moda mundial.

Entonces sólo me queda por decir "a bientôt chère Carine", y yo que planeaba ir a la fiesta de 100 años de Vogue Paris con Carine como anfritriona, hasta comencé a pensar el outfit para esa noche.

Tramando is an Argentine brand with a philosophy for textiles. Last week Martin Churba, the brand's owner and designer hosted a small get-together to show his new technique for printing tee-shirts and bags, the bag part he did en Japan and here in Buenos Aires he printed tee-shirts.

How did he do this? you may ask. He painted a glass wall in his store with textile paints on the moment and raked it, washed it, threw dirt on it and then he went ahead and printed the fabrics.

I went with a very good friend of mine, Cora. We got a drink and looked at the collection, I even got a pair of pants for my New Year's party at the beach in Ecuador. Cora didn't stay for Martin's artistic interpretation of finger painting but I did, and got some cool pictures to show for it.

Como todos sabrán, Tramando es una marca argentina que se especializa en filosofía textil. La semana pasada Martín Churba, el dueño y diseñador hizo una pequeña presentación del tour que realizó por Japón hace unos meses. Basicamente una técnica diferente para entampar bolsos y camisetas, los bolsos estampados los hizo en Japón y en Buenos Aires las camisetas.

¿Cómo lo hizo? Pintó unas puertas de vidrio con pintura textil en el momento en su Casa Matriz, y la rastreó, la lavó, le tiró un poco de polvo y después estampó los textiles.

Yo fuí con una muy buena amiga, Cora. Lo primero que hicemos fue ir a la barra y después ver la nueva colección, hasta me compré el pantalón que usaré en la fiesta de fin de año en Ecuador. Cora no se quedó para la interpretación artistica de pintar con los dedos de Martín, pero yo si y tomé unas buenas fotos.

Para la próxima vez, ¿podrían comenzar en horario? ¿Por favor?

Joking with my BF the other day I told him "I want to name our first daughter Ana," I realized the three women I admire most in the fashion world are all named Anna. Even thought they share a first name and might have similar jobs in the fashion world, they possess different qualities that I look up to.

Bromeando con mi novio, el otro dia le dije -Quiero nombrar a nuestra primera hija Ana-, me di cuenta que las tres mujeres que más admiro en el mundo de la moda tienen ANA como primer nombre. A pesar que comparten un nombre y de tener trabajos similares en la moda, todas poseen cualidades diferentes por las que las admiro a cada una.

From this Anna I want to have her incredible and irreverent fashion style.

The one and only, the empress, the high-priestess, the dictator and ruler of the fashion world, maneuvering the fashion industry from a pair of Manolo sling-backs and a string of pearls, Anna Wintour.

From this Anna I hope to one day have the respect and power she wields in the entire industry, from Spanish mass fashion conglomerates to Parisian couture to American newcomers.

A lover of black, red lips and pixie-like hair. Ana Torrejón was the director of Elle Argentina for more than 15 years and now she heads the communication department of Hermès in Buenos Aires. Her opinion on fashion is one of the most respected in the entire continent from Colombia to Uruguay and of course in her native Argentina.

This Ana is the most interesting of them all, her point-of-view on life and of course fashion is one that I look up to very much. She believes fashion is not frivolous, it's a reflection of an ideology. The perfect mixture of feminist femininity.

I know my dear readers I've been away, busy with future projects that if they come through you will be the first to hear about them.

All that aside... I got my tattoo finished. After three sessions, three hours each, and a lot... I mean a lot of pain I finally got the tattoo I've been wanting for a long time. As some of you may know I got it on my thigh, and it's not small. They're tropical flowers with a japanese wind and cloud background.

I love it, can't wait for summer with shorts and Brazil for a zunga.

Queridos lectores se que he estado lejos, ocupado con futuros proyectos que si llegan a salir ustedes serán los primeros en saber de ellos.

Todo eso de lado... ¡terminaron mi tatuaje! después de tres seciones, cada uno de tres horas y mucho pero muchisimo dolor finalmente terminaron el tatuaje que he querido por mucho tiempo. Algunos de ustedes han de saber que me lo hice en el muslo, pero no es pequeño. Son flores tropicales con fondo japones de viento y nubes.

Lo amo, ya quiero que sea verano para shorts y Brasil para una sunga.

So... Do you know who the woman in the picture is? If you're a fashion fanatic as me you would. It's Garance Doré! Yes, the one and only Parisian blogger, friend to the unmistakable Anna Dello Russo, and girlfriend to Scott Schuman himself.

Both Garance and Scott were in Buenos Aires last week for a fashion event called Fashion Edition, a contest for established designers to be able to show 5 looks from their lastest collection, the winner gets to show at a Mercedes-Benz fashion week, this time around at Stockholm fashion week. The winner of the contest is the reknown Pablo Ramírez, famous for his love of black, white and a monastic aesthetic; he seems to want to dress very chic nuns.

I'm not writing this post to talk about that event. The day before, I got to walk around San Telmo talking to Garance, showing her some antique stores and quintessential cafes around the neighborhood. I got to walk with her because my editor was doing an interview to Scott, and Garance wanted to see some of San Telmo, she invited me along and I wasn't about to say no.

The next day was Fashion Edition, we saw the designers present their looks and witnessed Pablo Ramirez win the contest. After the shows, my editor at Remix and I walked up to Scott and Garance to talk to them, after a while Tuti (my editor) was telling me that we were going to take them (Scott and Garance) to a milonga, for those who don't know, a milonga is a traditional place to hear and dance tango in Buenos Aires.

After the event, I ended up at the Faena Hotel with The Sartorialist, Mademoiselle Doré, and a recognized singer Anita Alvarez Toledo along with Tuti dinning and hearing the story about how the two bloggers came to be together (a story you're gonna have to hear from their own lips). After dinner Anita had to go sing, and the four of us went to La Confiteria Ideal, one of the most traditional milongas in Buenos Aires. Scott and Garance were mesmerized with the music, the way couples danced to tango, and the vintage architecture of the place.

No... my dream to be photographed my The Sartorialist didn't come true that day, but I got to go out with them in Buenos Aires, and hear intimate stories about the both of them. Who else gets to say that? I loved the both of them, really cool people, true salt of the earth.

After the night was over I was walking on a dream, I got a taste of what's in store for me, the international fashion world.

Entonces... ¿Saben quien es la mujer en la foto? Si ustedes son igual de fanáticos por la moda como yo, lo saben. ¡Es Garance Doré! Exacto, la bloguera parisina en persona, amiga de la incomparable Anna Dello Russo y novia del fotógrafo Scott Schuman.

Garance y Scott estuvieron en Buenos Aires la semana pasada para un evento de moda llamado Fashion Edition, basicamente un concurso donde diseñadores elegidos muestran cinco looks the su última colección; el ganador se va a un Mercedes-Benz fashion week, esta vez a la semana de la moda de Estocolmo. Pablo Ramírez fue el feliz triunfante, conocido por su amor al negro, blanco y estética monástica; pareciera que quiere vestir a monjas fashionistas.

Este post no es sobre el evento. El dia antes pude caminar por San Telmo con Garance, mostrandole algunas tiendas de antigüedades y cafes de la zona. Caminé con Garance porque mi editor estaba entrevistando a Scott, ella quería pasear un poco y me invitó, obviamente no iba a decir que no.

El dia siguiente fue el Fashion Edition en el Faena, vimos la presentación de los diseñadores. Después del evento, mi editor de Remix y yo nos acercamos a Scott y a Garance para hablar con ellos. Tuti (mi editor) terminó invitandolos a ver tango a una milonga; para los que no saben la milonga es el lugar tradicional para escuchar y bailar tango en Buenos Aires.

Terminé en el Faena con The Sartorialist, Mademoiselle Doré, Anita Alvarez Toledo y Tuti cenando y escuchando la historia de como los dos bloguers se conocieron. Terminamos de comer y fuimos a La Confiteria Ideal, una de las milongas más tradicionales en Buenos Aires. Scott y Garance se hipnotizaron con la música, el baile del tango y la arquitectura antigua del lugar.

No... mi sueño de aparecer en The Sartorialist no se volvió realidad ese dia, pero salí con ellos por Buenos Aires y escuché historias intimas de los dos. ¿Quien más puede decir eso? Eran personas muy buenas, increibles y autenticas.

Cuando la noche terminó, caminaba sobre nubes. Probé lo que el futuro me depara, el mundo de la moda internacional.

How far are we willing to go?

Yesterday was a great day, sunny and warm, a great spring day in the city of Buenos Aires; it was also mother's day here in Argentina and it couldn't have been a better day to celebrate that great woman that nurtured us.

Buenos Aires is one of the few cities in the region that you can walk anywhere and everywhere, and it really is blessing as Ana Torrejon said on her twitter account. To end the day we rented a movie to stay home and watch, we rented "Tropa de Elite," a Brazilian film that tells the story of a commander of the BOPE (Batalhão de Operacões Policiais Especiais) and the search for his replacement.

It really made me think about the how perverse the entire system is, no one is better than the other neither the drug dealer or the police, they both compose a system so rotten that it feeds on violence and more violence, where death isn't anything special, just a way of life.

I don't defend either of those worlds, one thrives on the addictions of weaker human beings and the other justifies their means with the end result. It is really interesting how they sarcastically compare lawyers and policemen as law keepers, a notion that is held as a truth by everyone, but after watching the movie you understand that a policeman in Brazil is as far way from keeping the law as Calvin Klein if from doing a barroque collection.

There is always someone worse of, I wonder what Argentinians complaining from insecurity might say if they lived in Brazil or watched this movie.

Ayer fue un día grandioso, soleado y fresco, un gran día de primavera en la ciudad de Buenos Aires; también fue el dia de las madres y no pudo haber hecho mejor clima para celebrar a esa mujer que nos ama tanto.

Buenos Aires es una de las únicas ciudades de la región que se puede caminar a donde sea y a cualquier hora, es una bendición como dijo Ana Torrejón en su twitter. Para finalizar el día alquilamos una película para quedarnos en casa, "Tropa de Elite" un film brasilero que narra la historia de un comandante del BOPE y la busqueda de su reemplazo.

Me hizo pensar en lo corrupto que es el sistema, ningún lado es mejor o peor que el otro, ni los traficantes de drogas ni la policia, ambos componen un mundo tan perverso que se retroalimenta de violencia y más violencia donde la muerte no es nada especial sino una forma de vivir.

No defiendo ninguno de esos mundos, uno se aprovecha de las adicciones de seres humanos más débiles y los otros creen que el fin justifica los medios. Es muy buena la comparación sarcastica de abogados y policias, que ambos pretenden defender la ley, pero despues de la película entiendes que un policía en Brazil es cualquier cosa menos un defensor, más cercano a un agresor.

Sería muy interesante saber el pensamiento de los argentinos que viven bociferando sobre la inseguridad si viviesen en Brasil o vieran esta película y lo que la "mano dura" que tanto piden puede llegar a ser.

Vogue Paris at it's 90th...

Vogue Paris is one of those beacons of fashion radiating their taste and style to the entire world, and during fashion week they celebrated their 90th anniversary in a way only Carine Roitfeld could have conjured up.

A masquerade ball in Karl Lagerfeld's Parisian mansion where the main inspiration was "Eyes Wide Shut." Given the theme all the guests went nuts for their look, they knew that a party with Carine Roitfeld and Lagerfeld as hosts just had to be every bit as much as over the top as them.

The most talked about outfit was Anna Dello Russo's, she had a dress custom-made by Pucci's Peter Dundas, a headdress made from feathers from Gareth Pugh, a white wig, and a mask to match it; some of the guests said that she couldn't really move in that getup but that she looked fabulous, like the Lady Gaga of fashion.

So... This year they celebrated their 90th birthday with a party everyone called the party of the century, but... is everyone forgetting 90 comes before 100? The real party of the century is going to be in ten years for the 100th anniversary of Vogue Paris, and trust me people I will be invited to that future party. I mean I'm already the fashion editor at Remix Mag here in Argentina, just give me ten years...

Vogue Paris es uno de esos faros de la moda que irradian su gusto y estilo al mundo entero, durante la última semana de la moda en Paris la revista celebró su aniversario número 90 en una forma que sólo Carine Roitfeld pudo haber imaginado.

Una fiesta enmascarada en la mansión parisina de Karl Lagerfeld con la consigna de "Eyes Wide Shut". Con ese tema todos los invitados se volvieron locos por encontrar el look perfecto para la fiesta, con Carine y el Kaiser como anfitriones cada atuendo tenía que ser igual de extravagantes que ellos.

Uno de los looks más comentados fué el de Anna Dello Russo, con un vestido blanco hecho por el diseñador de Pucci, Peter Dundas; un tocado de plumas de Gareth Pugh, una peluca blanca y una mascara a tono. Algunos de los invitados comentaron que no se podia mover realmente con dicho atuendo, pero que estaba fabulosa, la Lady Gaga de la moda.

Entonces... este año celebraron los 90 años con una evento que todo el mundo llamó la fiesta del siglo, pero... ¿acaso todos se olvidan que 90 viene antes de 100? La verdadera fiesta del siglo va a ser en diez años para la celebración de los 100 años de la revista. Gente... creanme, en diez años voy a estar en esa fiesta, osea... ya soy el editor de moda de Remix acá en Argentina, sólo denme una decada más...

No... this is not me, it's Stefano Pilati's arm tattoo of flowers done in the japanese style, but those are japanese flowers if I'm not mistaken.

I've been wanting a large tattoo for a long time and I've had the tropical leitmotif in my mind for a while now, I even started to think I wanted to have the Rio de Janeiro Burle Marx sidewalk on my thigh.

I just started it today, so you'll have to wait a few weeks until it's completely finished so I can uncover it.

No este no soy yo, es el tatuaje de flores de Stefano Pilati hecho en el estilo japonés, si no me equivoco las flores también son japonesas.

He querido un tatuaje grande por un largo tiempo y la idea de temática tropical siempre estuvo en mi mente, hasta comencé a pensar en tatuarme las veredas cariocas de Burle Marx en mi muslo.

Recién lo comencé hoy, van a tener que esperar unas semanas hasta que lo termine totalmente para mostrarlo.

Last week Hermès realized another mini coolhunting-photoshot involving their glorious silk scarves which I absolutely love. Between you and me... I tried to walk out with the scarf I used, but then they wouldn't invite me to such things anymore.

I fell in love with my scarf, it was almost two meters by two meters (or at least it was in my mind), this amazing orange color with maharajas sitting on magenta pillows; normally I don't like orange, but this scarf I want to be buried in. It was made from cashmere, silk, cloulds, feathers and all things soft.

Ana... my birthday is on December 14th *wink*.

Oh, BTW. I got a buzz cut, to get into a summer vibe. I'm so through with winter and cold.

La semana pasada Hermès realizó otro mini coolhunting-photoshot con los pañuelos de seda caracteristicos de la marca los cuales amo absolutamente. Entre tu y yo... intente correr con el pañuelo todavia en mi cabeza, pero despues no me van a invitar a este tipo de eventos.

Me enamoré rotundamente de mi pañuelo, era casi dos metros por dos metros (o era así en mi mente). El pañuelo tenía un increible color naranja con maharajas sentados en cojines magentas; normalmente no me gusta el naranja pero quiero ser enterrado con este pañuelo. Estaba hecho de cashmere, seda, nubes, plumas y todas lo suave en el mundo.

Ana... mi cumpleaños es el 14 de diciembre ;)

Ah... y me rapé el pelo para adentrarme en el verano. Me cansé del invierno y el frio.

BAF Week!

So... I know I've been absent for a week or two, but after Buenos Aires Fashion Week (BAF) I flew to guayaquil for a week to visit my family and to shock and awe them with my brand new blonde hair.

I'm currently the Argentine colaborator for CentroModaOnline, a spanish fashion website run by Pepe Reblet... I have a few articles published already, so go and read me. Since I was "foreign press" at fashion week here in Buenos Aires, I was front-rowing it at most of the shows.

BAF Week for me personally was a success, met a lot of people and did a tons of networking, at one point I ran out of business cards. You'll soon be reading me in Roteiro da Moda, a Brazilian website run by Patricia Zambardino, talking about my favorite topic, Menswear.

During my first day of BAF Week I met some very cool Brazilian girls, specially Jana Rosa from MTV Brazil, she has the blog Agora Que Sou Rica. Also met Vanessa Rodríguez Maza from Lima, Peru that writes for La Vida de Serendipity, Sofia Calvo Foxley from Santiago, Chile that writes for Quinta Trends, these last two became my very good friends during the entire week, loved them.

There's something about Matadores that I just can't get enough of. I admit that the bullfighting tradition is a beastly one, but at the same time it's a mesmerizing spectacle full of art, guts, glory, and very hot men in very tight pants.

José Maria Manzanares is one of those very hot men in very tight pants, putting his life on the line every time he steps onto the arena to fight a helpless bull. Many matadors are also models and even spoke-models for many known fragances, and this boy doesn't need to envy any of the other fighters.

This photo shoot was taken by Bruce Weber, the quintessential photographer for idyllic male figures for the July/August issue of L'Uomo Vogue.

Hay algo sobre los matadores de lo cual no me canso. Admito que las peleas de toros es una tradición horrenda pero al mismo tiempo el espectaculo te hipnotiza con el arte, gloria y valor de hombres muy calientes en pantalones muy apretados.

Can't wait for December! That's when "Somewhere" the new Sofia Coppola movie is coming out. I loved all of her movies, specially Marie Antoinette, all of her movies have a characteristic soft feministic beauty to them, portraying a natural beauty thru her lens, and this one seems to have a male in the leading role... can't wait to see how she portrays male beauty.

What happened to Marc Jacobs?! Did he swallow the 50's pill he took for Fall 2010 too hard? or did the Chevalier honor hit him too hard? In the picture above he manages to look both fat and sickly in black! The pants are too big and the paleness of his face is too much.

Personally I prefer the skirt-clad Jacobs we were growing accustomed to.

Never before has this motto been so important as on this 14 of July. As in 1789 the French citizenship fought for their rights, the gay community of Argentina is doing the same on this historic day in 2010.

Tomorrow on the 14 of July of 2010 the Argentine Senate will vote on the new law that will allow the LGTB community to attain full rights in the eyes of the law, where gays, lesbians, transgender, and bisexual people will be able to marriage, adopt, inherit, and be covered by the law in every situation.

I know it's not common for me to post things like this, but being as important as it is I thought I should, being that this law involves my own rights as well.

So... I hope tomorrow on July 14th, we'll be able to yell, Equality! and not because we are asking for it, but rather because we finally have achieved it.

Nunca antes en la historia ha sido tan relevante esta frase como en este 14 de julio. Como en 1789 la ciudadanía francesa luchó por sus derechos, la comunidad gay de Argentina hará lo mismo en este dia histórico del 2010.

Mañana en el 14 de julio del 2010 el Senado Argentino votará a favor o en contra de la ley de igualdad que dará a la comunidad LGTB completa igualdad ante los ojos de la ley, donde gays, lesbianas, transexuales y bisexuales podran casarse, adoptar, tener herencia de sus parejas y estar cubierto por la ley en todos los ámbitos de la vida.

Se que no es común que yo publique cosas asi en este blog, pero por la importancia que tiene esta ley y como incluye mis propios derechos decidí postearlo.

Entones... espero que mañana en el 14 de julio podremos gritar ¡Igualdad! y no porque estamos reclamandolo, sino, porque por fin lo hemos logrado.

One of my favorite menswear collections from Paris was Dior Homme by Kriss Van Assche. This year he was inspired by this arabian knight type of feelling, mixing great tailoring with kimono shapes and middle-eastern-dessert-like fluidity.

I love this look, with the very good-looking asian model, the mix of a tailored jacket and a cape, with trousers and gladiator sandals.. LOVE IT!

Civiles is a modeling agency based here in Buenos Aires, it has become famous for exporting some of the newest hottest faces in the industry today, with a long, pale, androgynous look both in their female and male models.

Carla Gebhart is one of those "Civilians" that have made it onto the international fashion stage walking in the Fall 2010 Season for Matthew Williamson, Balenciaga, Gucci, and Chanel just to name a few. After all those shows she was booked for spreads from Milan to London, but she turned them down in favor of her education.

One of my favorite new designers is Alexis Mabille, he always seems to be able to create a sexy, masculine collection with feminine touches that give the line a luxurious and glamorous feel.

For Spring 2011, it seems he was inspired by a hippy that rolled around in flowers and grass after a night in Woodstock I would presume, with greek sandals, stripped pants that have a certain sans-culotte feel, long shirts, and the best part... jumpsuits!

Alexis send me the sandals and jumpsuits, PLEASE! Maybe he can look into a new market in Buenos Aires...

Stefano Pilati isn't only a talented and gifted fashion artist and designer, creating some of the most outstanding collections for YSL since Monsieur Yves himself, but a great style icon as well.

I love Stefano's style, the way he mixes and matches traditional items with easy going pieces always achieving a comfortable, chic, and elegant look for any occasion and time of day. He can be seen wearing crisp pressed shirts, blazers or embellished cardigans with silk scarves, slouchy drop-crotch pants, moccasins, and colorful socks; he loves black and neutrals, using vivid colors for accent pieces only like socks, brooches, or scarves.

He is one of the great influencers on my own personal style, although I never try to look 100% like Stefano. He always inspires me sometimes with color matching, other times with how to mix pieces.

I just hope I can meet him someday! Plus we share the same name... I'm Gabriel Estefano ;)

Me encanta el estilo de Stefano, la forma que mezcla y combina lo tradicional con piezas cómodas y faciles de llevar, logrando un look chic, elegante y confortable para cualquier ocasión u hora del dia. Se lo puede ver con camisas perfectamente planchadas, blazers, americanas o cardigans con pañuelos de seda, pantalones flojos con mocasines y medias coloridas; le encanta el negro y los neutros, usando colores solo para accesorios como medias, broches o pañuelos.

Él es una de las grandes influencias de mi estilo personal, pero nunca trato de copiarlo 100%. Siempre me inspira, algunas veces con la combinación de colores y otras con la mezcla de piezas.

Recently the Oscars of fashion took place, the CFDA Awards, and for the category of Menswear the nominated were Tom Ford, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright for Rag & Bones, and Michael Bastian.

Personally after having have seen the collections, I cannot believe Michael Bastian didn't win! I love his Fall 2010 line, it's very english and preppy with touches of biker and punk. I loved the boots and specially the kilt look.

Rag & Bone was also amazing but I prefer Michael Bastian, here is the F/W 2010 collection.

Despues de haber visto las colecciones, personalmente ¡no puedo creer que Michael Bastian no ganó! Me encantó su colección de Otoño 2010, muy preppy-ingles con toques de biker y punk. Me enamoré de las botas y especialmente del look con el kilt.

Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira in one of the most successful male models in the industry right now, and he's only 18 years old!

He has a perfect physique with 0% body fat, I'm trying to achieve that kind of percentage but it's not as easy as it looks. Marlon recently did a photo shoot for a new men's fashion magazine called "Seventh Man", photographed by Matteo Zini, and styled by Julie Ragolia.

And so... here is Marlon in all his cowboy, denim, and ab-licious glory.

If you read my blog you may have noticed that the last two banners were in black and white and featured yours truly, the pictures were taken by Suyen Torres a Nicaraguan photographer that as me feels like a world citizen given that she has lived in many places and not just one during her life, these two pictures were also taken by her at her going-away party last Sunday.

She was here in Buenos Aires for a year taking some photography classes and today she's leaving Argentina for Managua, I'm sadden not only because a great friend is leaving but also because we never got to work together and do a fashion shoot together.

Last time I saw her she told me some of her apprehensions about going from the great city back to the small town, she confided in me that some people have "advised" her to tone down her photographic style because it won't mix well with Nicaraguan society... I told her exactly the opposite right after that comment, to double it and to shock and awe everyone; imagine if they had told Warhol to tone down the colors in his paintings?

So I say girl, rock on! Never tone it down and if you ever wanna leave the small town for the big city again, don't doubt it for a minute.

Si son lectores regulares pueden haber notado que los dos últimos banners eran en blanco y negro conmigo como modelo, eran fotos de Suyen Torres una fotógrafa nicaragüense que como yo se siente una ciudadana del mundo ya que ha vivido en varios lugares a lo largo de su vida, estas dos fotos fueron tomadas por ella en su fiesta de despedida el domingo pasado.

Vino a Buenos Aires hace un año para tomar cursos de fotografía y hoy deja la Argentina para regresar a Managua, me da mucha pena no sólo porque una gran amiga se va sino porque nunca pudimos realizar una producción de moda juntos.

La última vez que nos vimos me comentó algunos de sus miedos al regresar de la gran ciudad al pueblo pequeño, me contó que alguna gente le ha "aconsejado" que debería tomar todo lo que aprendío en Buenos Aires y bajarle un tono a su estilo fotográfico que ya no se mezclaría bien con la sociedad de Nicaragua... Yo le dije exactamento lo opuesto, que debería redoblar su propuesta e impactar a todo el mundo; imaginen si le hubieran dicho a Warhol que le baje los colores a sus obras.

Entonces, ¡sigue asi querida! Nunca reduzcas tu estilo y si alguna vez quieres dejar el pueblo por la gran ciudad, no lo dudes ni un minuto.

Recently, given all the World Cup hype for South Africa 2010 only days away, Vman sponsored a "world cup" of their own. Vman's Jacob Brown and Mathias Lauridsen got New York City's male models together to have their own soccer(football) championship.

The boys represented their agencies, and the winning guys got a photo shoot in this summer's Vman. The agencies that competed were VNY, Request, DNA Models, New York Models, Major Models, and Ford Models; the winning team were the dudes of Major Models.

In the pics you can see that some are in shirts and other are in skins, preferably I would have put all of them in skins and shorts circa Argentina '78, (for those who know soccer fashion history know what I'm talking about) I mean they are models, aren't they?

If only all soccer players looked like that, I think we would all want to be WAGs...

Recientemente, dado toda la conmoción por la Copa Mundial y Sudáfrica 2010 que comenzará en pocos dias, la revista Vman organizó un campeonato de futbol propio. Los editores Jacob Brown y Mathias Lauridsen, reunieron a los modelos de la ciudad de Nueva York para ponerlos a jugar el jogo bonito.

Los chicos representaron a sus agencias y los vencedores recibieron una producción en la edición de verano de Vman, las agencias que compitieron fueron VNY, Request, DNA Models, New York Models, Major Models y Ford Models; los de Major Models ganaron la competencia.

En las fotos se puede ver que unos estan con camiseta y otros sin, yo los hubiera puesto a todos sin camiseta y con shorts como los de Argentina 1978 ;) Para eso son los modelos ¿no?

Don't get me wrong I love Lady Gaga and all that she does, but this just goes to show that there is only ONE original Queen of Pop, and until she's still on the throne the others are just imitators.

Lady Gaga is surely the heir-apparent to her Madgesty, while some like Katy, RiRi, and Miley-Hannah are just simple duchesses, countesses, and baronesses in that order... well, maybe Katy is a Grande-Dame after Gaga in this make-believe royal court of popdom.

And then you have the simple courtisans that fetch you water like the washed-up princesses of yesteryear, like Britney and Christina.

Recently, Sebas and I threw a party for no particular reason other than to get friends together, get drunk and dance all night long.

Midway through the party the girls started to do shots of tequila straight out of the bottle, and these are the pics that came out of those moments. Reggaeton, salsa, merengue and some latin pop turned the night into one hell-of-a-night.

As you can see a picture of two friends perreando, and also dancing Creau, a Brazilian funk song that was THE song two years ago.

Anyone that knows me, and if you read this blog you know that I love Brazil and Brazilian fashion. Both Fashion Rio and SPFW are taking place these days starting with Fashion Rio yesterday, and SPFW will begin the 9th of June.

I can't wait for the Osklen fashion show to see what Oskar Metsavaht has come up with for summer, last summer he was inspired by carnaval and did a minimalist take of the greatest party on earth, if I'm correct he was inspired by Mangueira one of the most famous Samba Schools in Rio de Janeiro with the colors green and pink.

So here I'm posting the calendar for Brazilian fashion weeks this month, if you're in São Paulo or Rio head down to the Bienal or Pier Mauá respectively and enjoy what I'm not able to for now.

Rachel Zoe and her assistant, Brad Goreski where recently photographed my the fabulous Terry Richardson in his studio in NYC.

The pictures show that it was just friends visiting friends and maybe after some drinks, the camara came out? I don't know but Terry took of his shirt and Brad his t-shirt and it seems that Rachel started clicking away, but I assume that the image of Brad Goreski shirtless was captured by Terry hilself.

Mr. Richardson posted the pictures in his site showing the body that Rachel's assitant has been hidding under his hipster persona...

Yes... Marc Jacobs has really transformed himself from a great-chubby-nerdy designer to a great-sexy-tattooed designer.

With his bulging pecs and biceps Jacobs now has the self-steem and may I say the right to pose naked for whatever he wants, specially if that something in question is his new perfume. Some people did not like him posing naked, but I say if you got it, flaunt it so you can look back and say... "I was such a hot bitch!"

I'm guessing that Marc is channeling Yves's naked picture back in the '71 and Tom Ford's perfum-bottle-covering-crotch add, anyhow I like it.

Plus it's the very first men's perfume done by Marc Jacobs and it has a naked add... Love you Marc!

The perfume is called BANG, btw.

I'm beggining to really define my style, kinda figuring out it's Parisian-preppy with a bit of English anarchy. Sebas is kinda scared but he understands I like the spotlight, never the follower always the leader.

I love leggings with shorts, I began to wear them last year and now I've gone to printed tights... LOVE IT!!!

Every time Sebas and I have gone to Rio, he has wanted to go to a gay club. He says that it's a must in Rio, going to a gay night club since it's world re-known that Rio de Janeiro is the gay capital of South America, but we have never been able to go to one, frankly I prefer to go to a samba school and listen to and dance to real Brazilian music than go to a night club a dance to electronic music.

After having been in Rio I can honestly say that it's a BIG myth the idea of the Cidade Maravilhosa being the gay mecca of Latin America. The only gay areas of Rio are the beaches, specially the area of Ipenema left of Farme de Amoedo, Ipanema as a neighborhood, and the gay clubs, but Buenos Aires has much more of gay acceptance than Brazil does.

Even though I absolutely love Brasil and specially Rio de Janeiro, I still prefer Buenos Aires in the sence of gay life and gay acceptance, I mean, Argentina could possibly become the first Latin American country to finally recognize the right of gay people to marry who they choose, and to be recognized by the law.

The Week is the most famous of Brazilian gay night clubs, based in São Paulo it has branches in Rio and Florianopolis. During the summer they host some of the most amazing parties oriented for the gay public in Brazil; this past weekend they began in Buenos Aires the "The Week for Export" parties, mixing Brazilian DJs with Argentine ones and throwing one heck of a party with the best drag queens, go-go boys, and electronic music around.

So Sebas finally got to go to a Brazilian gay night club... in Buenos Aires, cheaper than going to Rio though.

The fabulous Ms. Moria Casan, one of the most famous vedettes of Argentina.

During our last trip to Rio, we went to one of my favorite places in the city to barhop, listen to amazing live samba, and some of the best caipivodkas in town.... although it is a given that you can find a good caipivodka anywhere in town.

As you can see in the pictures I'm already a bit tipsy in them... I just love me some caipi-anything.

Due to this years Met Gala, the maker of "The September Issue" has released a short documentary film done in the same way that his previous documentation of Anna Wintour was done.

This short film entitled "The Met Ball," follows the planning, preparation, and the ball itself during its 2007 version honoring that great French designer of the Bélle Époque, Paul Poiret.

The Met Ball is one of the fashion world's most anticipated nights, other than Fashion's Night Out nowadays.

Every year the Costume Institute at the Met hosts a ball in honor of fashion, fashion designers, style and amazing dresses to open it's new fashion exhibition. In previous years, the theme was Superheroes, last year it was Supermodels and now they turn to a more accessible style, that of American Women.

The Met Ball has stopped honoring Olympic-like statuesque god-like creatures, and this year's theme was American Women: Fashioning a National Identity. This is the first time that the Costume Institute has drawn from the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection, and show how American women evolved from 1890 to 1940, focusing on the influence of the "Gibson Girl," "Flapper," "Bohemian," "Screen Siren," and many other styles of the belle époque, roaring twenties, and the golden age of Hollywood.

These are my pics for the best dressed of the night, also some of the most interesting (André and Katy) although I have a feeling the best ensemble, a shawl-collar tux by Prada worn by Lady Gaga was never photographed, only a photo with Signora Miuccia that was leaked by Prada's people.

Express yourself, don't repress yourself...

To be truthfully honest, I was never a die-hard Madonna fan until I went to her Sticky and Sweet concert here in Buenos Aires (that's right people, the same concert that was recorded for the DVD).

After seeing her live on that stage, and witnessing the amount of energy and talent that she possesses, you can only stand awestruck at what she is, the one and true diva of the stage, there is no one else but Madonna.

I know it may be a cliché a gay boy drooling after Madonna, but I can't help it, she got to me.

During the show I never stopped screaming and singing her songs, and trust me, I never acted like that before during a concert.

Why am I doing this post on Madonna you may ask? Well, for one, I just bought the Sticky & Sweet DVD filmed live here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The other reason is that I just found these amazing pictures of the queen of pop taken by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for Interview magazine.

Is this Madonna's new look? I mean she did invent the 80's neo-romantic look with blond hair and black eyebrows...

I love it, plus she looks younger and hotter than ever.

She's the original.
