Underwear and Transparencies...

Recientemente encontré a una vieja amiga de mi infancia en facebook, se llama Jodie, siempre tuvo una cara y piel espectacular pero ahora tiene un estilo que es una mazcla entre Grace Jones, Erykah Badu e Iman, muy espectacular para ser honesto. Jodie es una de las pocas mujeres que conozco que se atreve a usar esta moda... ¡sin nada por debajo! Si la tuviera en persona la aplaudiría.

Despues de la colección primavera 2010 de alta costura de Galliano para Dior, en la cual se inspiró en fotos del mismo Christian Dior vistiendo sus modelos en los desfiles mostrando bellisimas prendas de alta costura mezclando sostenes y ligueros de la modelo misma, por esa razon la colección estaban impregnada de detalles de lenceria o de corsets, ligueras y sostenes al aire.

Esta colección ha inspirado a todas las demás y ahora la tendencia de transparencias y el uso de prendas íntimas femeninas como prendas de vestir esta rondando por todas las colecciones para la primavera 2010.

Personalmente a mi me encanta este trend, aunque puede ser algo fuerte para los demás, pero a la que tiene valentía y el cuerpo para hacerlo soy capaz de aplaudirla en la calle y para que más sirve la moda que para impactar a la "sociedad" como alguna gente la llama.

Recently I found an old friend from my childhood in facebook, amazing how a website can unite a whole bunch of people. Her name is Jodie, while she was one of the popular kids at school, I was on the opposite spectrum of the social circle, but I always admired her for her beauty and her skin, but now she has this amazing style to go along with her attributes, a mix between Grace Jones, Erykah Badu and Iman thrown all together in a blender and out came her, pretty spectacular. Jodie is one of the few women I know that dares to wear this trend ... without anything underneath! If I could see her in person, I would applaud her.

For the Dior 2010 spring haute-couture collection, Galliano drew inspiration from old pictures taken in the back stages of the shows with Christian Dior dressing his mannequins showing beautiful couture pieces mixed with the undergarments of the models. Galliano's collection was full of lingerie hints, with corsets, girdles and bras being shown as part of the show itself.

This Dior haute-couture collection inspired the ready-to-wear shows and for spring 2010 we are going to admire see-thru fabrics and the use of pretty-little-underthings as normal clothes.

Personally I love this new trend, even though it might be a little hard to swallow for some people, I applaud the woman that has the guts and guile plus the body to pull off a see-thru top without anything bellow, and what is fashion for than to shock "society" like some people like to call it.

Primavera 2009...

Tendencias, tendencias, tendencias. La moda se nutre de las tendencias o quizas es al revés, las tendencias se nutren de la moda. La primavera en el hemisferio sur esta por comenzar en más o menos un mes y los trends a saber son claves para verse a la mode durante los meses de calorsito que se avecinan.

Entonces chicas, y quizas algún que otro chico....

Con todo este debacle financiero, downsizing, Madoff, crisis económico, volvamos a la última vez que tuvimos este mismo problema, las modas de antes y despues de 1929 estan regresando, desde vestiditos a lo garçonne hasta atuendos parecidos a los campesinos americanos en la década de los 30.

Cinquième Tendence: Sporty Spice
